Celebrate What Is...

I just read the neatest thing, and HAD to come over here and blog about it. It was a devotional on seeing the good in things (this is ALWAYS a welcome topic), and this was my takeaway.

Rather than focusing on what isn't, CELEBRATE what IS. Don't you just love that? Wow. This statement truly feels life changing for me! There will always be a reason to literally celebrate!

Here's the link to the beautifully written devotional I found this in. I need this reminder daily. Actually, more like hourly. So there you go, go and celebrate what is!

Today a big reason to celebrate is our sweet daughter, Teda Lee is seven years old. It's hard to believe because these last seven years have flown by. She's amazing, and I'm SSOOOO grateful for her! I'll for sure be posting more about her birthday- my letter to her and also pics and all about how her rock star birthday party went. It was super fun- 12 girls at my mom's house- it was a blast!

Here are a few more reasons I will celebrate what IS today...
-Balloons- the way they blow in the wind, the way a child watches them in amazement, the beautiful colors... watching Jett sway as he happily watched a balloon at Teda's party dance to the music of the wind. It was priceless and I want that memory etched in my mind forever.
-Girls giggling together...12 of them at Teda's party!
-Watching Teda with her friends- and how loved she felt at her party.
-Donuts brought to our house by papa on a Sunday morning- and then the love, laughter, silliness, and just fun that went on after that- hide and seek, made up games, trip to the park, the literal twinkle I know is in my dad's eyes when he's with his grandkids. It's just one of the neatest things to watch. A Papa with his grandkids. Thanks dad for being such an incredible grandpa to my kids. They LOVE you so much...
-The way a kind gesture and a balloon can soothe the hardest fall- Jetty fell pretty hard today at the store, and the gal in the floral department gave him a balloon. He was so happy!
-Watching Dane carry special birthday balloons to Teda's class today... he was so proud, so excited to get to bring them to her, and I could see the love for her in his eyes. Truly!
-The fact that Zach's class is right across the way from Teda's. We got to eat lunch with him today during his prep hour!
-This beautiful weather.... AMAZING
-Getting to sit next to my man and enjoy one of our favorite shows together- Burn Notice. We love that show! Watching Burn Notice, folding laundry, catching up on emails, grading papers... doesn't seem glamorous, but it's where it's at for sure! And I'm thankful for nights like that one.
-Waking up next to Zach each morning. I'm blessed.
-Cinnamony, sugary, goodness that is known as Friendship Bread. YUM!
-Naptime at my grandma and grandpas house. I feel more relaxed as I pull onto their street! LOVE spending time here.
-Driving in the van somewhere and a beautiful worship song comes on... thank you Jesus for those moments to be reminded of Your love.
