The "Plan"

A few weeks back, Teda came up with a great idea one morning that she couldn't wait to make happen. She and the boys worked on a "plan" to "trick" daddy when he got home that evening. It took them all day to set this up, and they talked about it ALL day long, what it would be like when he got home, what he'd say, what they would say, where they would each stand, how funny they thought it was going to be, and then I even had Teda call her daddy to be sure he was okay with this plan. She asked him if they could play a trick on him when he got home, and that it might have something to do with water, syrup, honey, sprinkles, milk, etc.... and to her excitement, her daddy was all in! The moment arrived when he came home. He changed into clothes that could get dirty, and followed their directions... and here's what it looked like. There was much laughter and life in our home this day!!! :)
The picture on the door, so he won't assume anything is going on inside.... just a normal day like all the others!! hee hee :)
Here's what he saw when he opened the door.... paper for him to slip on, markers and puff balls to slip on, tubs of water and syrup to slip in, and balls in each one for more slipping....
Teda is so proud and excited for when Daddy gets home to try out their trick on him...
Notice the flowers on the table, to help daddy to think that nothing is going on here! Nevermind the syrup and honey on the table... :)
They planned to pour all this fun stuff on daddy....

Kids are anxiously awaiting the arrival of daddy, to see how their plan works out... and daddy is ready for some fun :)

They're guiding him, telling him to "slip right there!"
 Whhooaaa!
The kids at this point are CRACKING up, squealing with laughter. They loved watching their "plan" that they worked so hard on all day long, talked about all day long, strategized about, was unfolding perfectly!
 See them cracking up?!
We talked the kids into letting daddy hop into the bathtub before they poured all the stuff on him... which helped out when cleaning up a TON...

 yummy!

Can't you tell how much he's loving this?! :)

Three happy kids, and one VERY good sport for a daddy who is very sticky and wet! :)
