I'm SO behind in posting, so I'll just start where I left off....
On Zach's birthday, he was still at summer camp with the 4th-6th graders, so the kids, my dad, and I drove up to surprise him. It was awesome. We met him right at lunch, he walked out of the cafeteria, and ran right into us! We had a big poster sized card for him, and cupcakes too. He was so happy to see us, and we were so glad to see him too! We ate lunch together, and all the kids at camp were totally into Teda, Dane, and Jett. It was funny. Then we played a little after lunch, on the huge rock that the kids had played on the week before when we were there. They were excited to show Papa that rock. They played with sticks- it was pretty cute. Before long, Jetty was totally ready to head home. He's not used to being awake all day quite yet. It was the perfect amount of time for us to be there.
While we were there, there was a group of girls that the leader knows Teda pretty well. She had pink hats made for all her girls in her group called, "Princess Warriors". And they called Teda into their cabin for a special suprise. So we went there, and they had had a hat made for her too! She felt SO special. It was really cool!
We got Zach guitar lessons for his birthday (which he's talked about doing for a few years now), and then he used his other birthday money to get a guitar. He's so excited about it! His first lesson is tonight, actually. He said he has so many songs that he makes up in his head, and he would love to just be able to play them out loud. He's going to do great, and it will be fun having him be able to play for us. :)
