-Proverbs 24:16- for the righteous man falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity... so both of them fall! It sounds like the difference between the righteous man and the wicked is that the righteous get back up. This is reality for sure.
So with all that said, I'll pick up where I left off in October with my gratitude journal. I will work to be disciplined in learning to be grateful. This is a "muscle" that I don't use often, and how sad is that. Life could be so much more joyful, even in the chaos, if I would choose to see God's Hand in it all. So I'm excited to grow in this area. Good stuff!
25. Watching Teda as she had her first sleepover last night. She had SO much fun with her friend Cece. They had a tea party with a real tea set, movie night, treats, colored pictures, played in the backyard together, painted nails, and lots of laughter.
26. The smell of campfire all over my boys and my man when they returned from their first annual boys overnight camping trip. They did all things boy- threw rocks into the lake, hiked, got cut up, found sticks and rocks, peed in the bushes, and they were SO dirty. Love it.
27. The difference between boys and girls is beautiful. Thank you God for creating men and women to complete one another. Thank you that I get to help raise both boys and a girl- to raise our boys to become men who lead their wives and kids and others around them, and to raise our daughter to know her value, to learn what to look for in a husband, how to be a helpmeet to her future husband. What a privelage that is.
28. For a husband who completes me. And I complete him. We are one, and I am so thankful for him.
29. Laughing with Zach.
30. The still and quiet during naptime.
31. Endorphins after exercising
32. Spring break- resting, playing, being, going
33. The feel of my baby son's cheeks on my lips.
34. Watching Deklan change each day, his core getting stronger and stronger. He sits up! His perseverance amazes me. He will try to eat baby food, and it goes into his sinuses, and comes out his nose as he sneezes. After a few minutes of gaining his composure, he opens his mouth for another bite. Another try. He gets back up when he falls. He never quits.
35. The way Deklan grabs his hair and plays with it while drinking his bottle.
36. Listening to Teda girl read- she LOVES to read, and is SO smart. The inflections in her voice when she reads is amazing.
37. Having all our needs and then some provided for.
38. Encouragement from Zach. Knowing he loves me always. No matter what.
39. Being back at Christ Quest Institute with Zach. So refreshing, so wonderful.
40. Watching friends come together to help out a needy stranger and her grandkids.. such a beautiful meeting. Beautiful people, so amazing. God, YOU are Good. All the time.
41. Lush, green grass.
42. Snow on the side of the roads as we drive to our destination. Just me, Zach, and Deklan. A night away- naps, dinner out, exercising, enjoying the beautiful scenery, an incredible hotel, super comforatble bed, breakfast out, and even a hair cut and color!
43. Watching Dane win the battle over his flesh. Choosing to obey- it's absolutely beautiful. Watching him melt into his daddy's arms after the struggle. As he drinks in his daddy's praise and love. He's learning, learning how to be a man.
