Well, last weekend we were supposed to go to Disneyland... but there were rainstorms all weekend in California- so we postponed our trip. But Zach still had the whole weekend off, and we were in vacation mode already, so we ended up staying the weekend at my parent's house. We pulled the matress out of Dane's room (the guest room) into the family room, and Zach and I slept out there. And the kids have their own beds there already, which made it that much easier to stay there. It was awesome! It really felt like a vacation, even though we were only minutes away from our house. It was a cooler than usual, and sort of rainy weekend too- so it even felt like we weren't in Arizona. On Friday we went to the Wildlife Zoo, which was a blast. Teda LOVED seeing all the animals- she especially loved seeing "baby jagbar"- the jaguar (and she thought it was the jaguar from the show "Go Diego Go"..... and she also loved the "bo bo's"- the monkeys (those were just like the monkeys on "Go Diego Go". We got to feed the birds apples during their feeding time, we went to the petting zoo, and we also fed the giraffes.
Then on Saturday we went to this place called "Fun Time For Kids", and it's an indoor play place for kids with all sorts of little play rooms in it- there's a garage with play tools, a hair salon, a hospital, a music room, a bowling alley, an ice cream shop, a grocery store, a camping area, and all sorts of others. All kid sized of course. It was hilarious because Zach played maybe more than the kids did! He went right into the garage, put on the kid safety goggles, and began "making a chair for Teda" (it was already a chair made from the doll house, but Teda thought he made it)... it was SO funny! Zach really is a kid at heart. He spent a lot of time in the music room too playing the drums. And my parents played with the kids in there- my dad was crouched in the hospital showing Teda how to take care of Dane- she had on a little nurse outift and everything.
And in the evenings this weekend, we hung out and played games at my parent's house with my sisters and Trevor and my parents. We really had a great weekend! And although we were all really bummed that we didn't get to go to Disneyland this weekend, it was still fun!
