She Said Yes!!

Guess what!!!! Last Wednesday, my sister Julie got engaged!!! Her now fiance Joel, who I just think is awesome, proposed to her at the Royal Palms restaraunt. And the restaraunt is called T. Cooks, which I thought was fun since our maiden name is Cooke. :) It's a beautiful hotel, and Joel had his family and our family meet there (which we were meeting for the first time, and that was great to meet them) before he and Julie arrived. We met in the cigar room, where the "romance coordinator" came and introduced himself to us. He'd been working with Joel to pull this night off, and it went great! By the way, the romance coordinator, that's truly his title. That's his job is to help things like this happen at that hotel. Who knew there was even such a thing... Anyways, when Julie and Joel arrived, they were shown to the room we were all in, and Julie was so surprised to see us all there, and even more surprised when Joel got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife! It was really neat that we got to be a part of such a special day for Joel and Julie. After the proposal, we had a champagne toast (oh, and the table with the champagne glasses, and the other table in there was sprinkled with real rose petals!), and then we were seated for an amazing dinner, and great company. After dinner, we went to see the Lion King at ASU Gammage, and that was cool too! The tickets were Julie and Joel's Christmas gift to us. The whole night was really a gift. So now Julie is the future Mrs. Wagner. So exciting!

Thanks to my uncle Alan and Aunt Judy for watching our babies while we got to go do this. They are so awesome, and they just love the kids like they were their own. I love it. And, Judy just recently got a new mustang. Usually what happens when they watch our kids is we trade cars. We haven't driven the mustang until now. Judy gave us her mustang to drive that night. And guess what my uncle Alan got in the mail a few days ago? Zach's picture! He totally got a speeding ticket on our way back from the Lion King. Woops. Can you blame the man? He goes from driving our wonderfully luxurious Maroon Minivan to driving a sleek black brand new mustang..... and that thing has some power! So anyways, that's just a funny side story. The real story here is that Julie is getting married to a wonderful guy, Joel! Congratulations you two!!!
