To The Movies

All summer long, Dane asked us if he could have a playdate with his friend Elijah. He met Elijah last year in his preschool class, and since Dane only went there until Christmas, I thought he wouldn't have remembered him much. Elijah was one of Dane's first friends, and he just loves him. At the end of the summer, we were able to connect with his parents, and I took Dane and Elijah to see the movie Rio together as Dane's friend birthday party.

It was TOO cute. They wanted me to sit one row behind them, and after the movie they played around on the video games.

On the way to the theater, they were sitting next to each other, and Dane was so sweet. He was listening to Elijah tell us about a trip he went on where he rode quads, and Dane sweetly asked him, "Do you want to hold hands?" Elijah said no. Dane said, "It's okay, it's not scary!" It was just a moment where he was looking at his friend, Elijah, and was so happy that they were finally getting to hang out together. I think he didn't know how else to express it, and thought that holding hands would be a great way! I love it. Absolutely love it!
