Here are some pics from last night's jump fest in our family room turned gymnasium. The kids had a blast jumping. Dane hurt his foot the other day while jumping off the couch, so he's been limping since then. It breaks my heart to watch him limp around- or when he runs, he has a little limp and favors his left foot. He doesn't complain one bit, and we've checked it out and found nothing wrong. He'll let us poke and prod and move his foot all around, and he doesn't have any tender spots. But he's still limping. He made it worse last night, when he decided to jump and land on the floor instead of the pile of pillows Zach laid down. So we've done our best to tell him to take it easy today- that's like telling a monkey not to climb a tree! I know this is the beginning of many, many injuries that this boy will have. He's just a daring little one, and Teda totally is too. It's crazy. And there's no telling them not to- in my opinion- it would be like telling them not to breathe. And their daddy is a total monkey too- each time we go to the park that's by our house, when he swings them on the swings he grabs the top bar of the swing set and hangs on it. Or he'll literally jump over them while they're swinging. I'm sure some of you reading this are going, "not a good idea!" It's just in them to climb and jump everywhere they go. I guess it's in their blood. Maybe we should get them into gymnastics or something, to channel that energy, so they don't want to literally climb the walls at our house. :)
Anyways, our weekend is still going well. We spent a good portion of the afternoon looking at houses for sale. We've been on a house hunt for about a year now, but not too seriuosly. Well, in the last few months, we've been getting serious. And it seems like each time we find "the one" that we think we'd like to buy, it doesn't work out. It's so frustrating! Either someone just put an offer down, it's in limbo from being a short sale to being a foreclosure (in which case it just has to be waited out I guess), or something doesn't work out with it. It's getting discouraging, but I know there's a house out there for us. It's just starting to take us over- and we don't want that. It's one of the first things we want to do when we feel like we have some "free" time, is look for houses either driving around or online. I hope we find one soon.
Tonight we're headed to Red Robin with my parents, and then it's to their house for a friendly game of wii.... should be fun!
