Hopefully will be gone.... our "friend" that lives in the attic above our bedroom (it's a rat, Zach ended up seeing it- going up into our attic to check it out. I know, gross!)... He went to Home Depot with my dad and got a huge rat trap and put peanut butter on it, and it's been about a week and it's still alive! Zach is as we speak up in the attic to set up another trap (this time it's called d-con, and it's little pellets that they eat and it kills them that way). He cracks me up- he's got his headlamp on, he has the video camera up there, and he's filming this little adventure he's on to catch this rat. He just told me that the trap is down, it's snaped shut, the peanut butter is gone,,, but the rat is not in it. And now he said that he got the rat on video- yucky! It is so funny to me how boys, no matter what their age, love this kind of stuff.
Even little Dane is fascinated by bugs. Any time he sees a litte bug in our house (yes, we have bugs- not bad ones though), he will get all excited and say, "BUG!" and proceed to pick it up with his little fingers and look closely at it. We've even caught him touching it to his tongue- just to see what that is like. I know, it's so wierd to me too. It's a boy thing I think. He saw a little cricket tonight, and told us and was about to try and get it, when Zach told him not to touch it. It took all he had not to touch it- he was trying to listen, but was so torn because he REALLY wanted to get it. Curious little guy.
Boys will be boys!
